I own a fh 130-1. It,s a good digger but have some questions regarding it. There are 3 solenoids in the same compartment as the main pump. two are used to control engine idol. Can anyone tell me what the third one is used for? There is a hyd pipe leaves it and goes to the bottom of the main pump. My next question is about track speeds. On these models is the speeds achieved only by the change of engine rpm or does the main pump also play a part in this by perhaps changing oil flow through the squash plate? Would also like to get my hands on a workshop manual if anybody knows where i could get one. have looked the internet, but can,t find anything older than a -3 manual
I think that this machine is similar to a ex 120-1
thanks.

the fh130 was similar to the ex 120
apart from
the ex120 had and isuzu engine the 130 has an iveco engine
the 120 has 44 links in the track chains the 130 has 43 with different dimensions for boltholes in pads to the 120
the 130 had a long 3m dipper arm as standard the 120 had a 2.6m dipper (the top travel pin is a dead give away)
the 120 had a small compact bonnet that covered the engine the 130 had a bonnet that you could roof a small house with atleast twice the size of the 120 bonnet
there was a fiat hitachi fh120-1 produced for a while also but they had overheating problems
the 3 solenoids you speak of are the ets electronic total control system they control engine rpm and hydraulic oil flow/pressure
if its a dash 1 you should pull the trootle lever towards the front window to turn off the machine the dash 2 turned off on the key
the fh130 and even the fh120 are a good machine if they are looked after by blowing the cooling system out with an airline and changing the oils on time but regards value they are worth half the current market value of an ex120-1
i have a 130 myself and im always looking out for another good one but they are hard come by in good condition

Thanks for that info. The soleniod then in question must be for the flow/ pressure control on the pump. The reason i was asking about this is because i didn,t think the tracks had a lot of power. If you mowed the two travel levers in opposite directions the machine seems very slugish and is just able to creep round. These machines aren,t that plentiful, so i,ve nothing to compare to. Would the tracks generally have less power than for example a ex120-3? Does your machine have different track speeds or is it just the engine revs that get differentspeeds? It,s nice to hear that it,s a good machine, i had a hymac 580c before this and i'm used to a lot of power but not much speed!
