^^^ Ah yes. Cedar long butts. Brings back fond memories from my teen-age days. Weyco used to leave 'em on the landing at any given pole/piling setting. I used to load Dad's company pickup to the gills with 'em, take 'em home, and saw off slices about 5" thick. Sold like hotcakes for at least a buck apiece, which was good money back then. People used 'em for 'stepping stones' in their yards.

Thanks for bringing back such a fond memory.

Wish I could get down there, the bones of one of them Pacifics were still there in 2005. Likely there even today, but the road is sooo awful.....

Seen this one in some other pics before with a tank on it, it looked to be going through some repairs when seen here, very nice truck in it's day, believe its an anniversary edition.

Retired.
WFI did have an operation at Gordon River but BCFP moved over there from Renfrew in 1983.

Jordan River was Canadian Puget Sound Lumber and Timber Co. (CPS) until everything changed after the '80's and into the '90's. Logged by Lyle Newton's company now but I can't recall the proper name offhand.
Getting old. LOL

It's also somewhat confusing given the acquisitions BCFP made in 1979 and 1980 when profits were big too and they bought out ERT and were in on another deal with Domans and Whonnock (I think).

I worked for BCFP from 1976 (Renfrew) until 1984 (Gordon River) so was there during the move-over.

Hope this helps a bit.

Take care.
