thabull,
In answer to your question, I say NO. (although you have already done so)
HEF is here for a number of reasons, one being so that people that have questions about machinery or work practices , can find answers from others who have experience.
Another reason is so that folk with similar backgrounds / interests can simply share thoughts about whatever.

It is not here to pedal our businesses - whatever we are involved in. We all appreciate the efforts of those on the website in protecting us from spam & your testimonials are spamming us for your business.

Can I suggest you set up your own webpage (you can set one up for free using microsoft office live) & create a link to it in your signature here, so when you assist others on HEF who have fuel injection problems - they can choose to contact you.

BUT, you have to actually help those who ask questions - something I have seen little of that you do........

Can't say that I disagree. After all, the rules apply to us all equally and equitably. It probably wouldn't have provoked a second thought If you posted said testimonial at one of the many threads you have already started about this topic, but to start still another thread, you probably already have a forum record for different threads for same subject. At best all I can do is scratch my head trying to figure out the logic at work here???

Sorry for the aggrivation that I have caused anyone here on this forum,just was trying to share this very priceless knowlege that only a select few in the usa knows anything about, at a price to cover the expenses that I have to conduct this class.As you say willie a good mechanic isn't expensive/ but priceless ! As this class is only for the ones that have confidence in their ability to learn more, so they can be a 100% diesel mechanic.Sorry again. WONT EVER BOTHER YALL AGAIN !

Never said you were a bother thabull, just can't figure out why you keep starting new threads? You already have threads started that you could "bump up" with new posts. So many threads, scattered all about, just don't understand the logic???

But the more I think about this, and since you called me out by name in post #4, and since I have made a polite effort (previously) to "get you in the know about how this forum works", I'm compelled to speak further concerning "being a bother". I do keep track of threads/posts that I have participated in. There are posts that you have made that are to help forum members, such as the one to use a rubber tipped blow gun to "pop test" injectors while injectors are still fitted to engine, interesting and informative post for sure. But by and large, most of your post, and threads for that matter, are posts/threads to promote your service. This is considered solicitation. So I'll be straight up and ask you, which is it? Are you here to assist? Or, as alrman aptly stated, are you here to promote your service? I feel this is an appropriate question at this point.

Probaly both, but more of a favor to the fellow mechanics for an opportunity for the chance to ever learn this,cause its not available unless u work at a pump shop,but unlikely to get a job at one with no exp.to start with.This forum has the kind here that could really use this.The problem I have with offering this class is people think its to technical,and need high priced equipment,most calibration screws dont ever move,therefore Ive repaired over 1000 pumps with out all that equipment,and I do test them just in a simpler way! The rubber tip blower trick is to test your combustion cylinders for leakage,not injectors.but u can make a injector pop tester out of a hydraulic bottle jack easy! Thanks for your concern and help willie59,Im just a good hearted country boy from florida and dont mean any harm to anyone.

Probaly both

Then I must ask you to cease and disest because this forum has rules in general and this one in particular;

Aside from the "for sale" area, for member's personally owned goods, advertising of goods and services is not permitted unless sponsoring heavyequipmentforums.com. A vendor of goods or services may make one introductory post explaining their product or service and may answer questions about such within that thread. No further promotion of your product or service may be made without sponsorship. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, click “Contact Us” at the bottom of any page.

Special Note: Vendors of goods or services, or their representatives, who join the forums and make no worthwhile contributions other than to post multiple links to said goods and services are considered spammers. Spammers will have their posts removed, and their membership terminated with extreme prejudice.

These rules were in existence at this forum before you, or I for that matter, were even members of this forum. Arguably, one could make the case that you are offering a valuable service, for a nominal fee, that would save a machine owner hundreds of dollars, or increase a mechanics market value by giving him another job skill. Nevertheless, you are offering a service for a fee, this is still a business venture. That being the case, that would still be considered and classified as soliciting the forum to promote business which is expressly forbidden. Even if you could make a compelling argument that the service offered outweighs the bending of the rules to allow it, then another member with similar circumstances could make the case that they should receive equal consideration. At that point, it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to foresee numerous times with members pleading their case to be allowed to "offer a valuable service" to the members here, which is not what this forum was set up for in the first place. Therefore, we make every effort to enforce the rules equally and equitably for the consideration of all members so that no one is unequal to others.
