New Holland Dozers

I have a friend that has me looking for a dozer for him. He stopped by the dealer i get my stuff from and he saw a low hour DC100 New Holland. Its a wide pad machine. I stopped by today and took a test run on it, THe operating grounds were crowded so I couldnt get in the dirt. It Im not too fond of it the controls. It was like running a joystick skid steer, THe more you puh the jostick the faster it goes. I didnt want to go to fast as I Had a nice 450 J Deere on either side of me. I couldnt figure out what the buttons on top of the drive and steering lever did. I had been wondering what who made th NewHolland dozers and I was told Case but I couldnt find any that were close looking. I was thinking about them and I remebered an old list of links to European and Asian MFGs. I rembered a Macmoter made a line of loaders and dozers in Italy. My friend jut wants one to clean up an old farm he bought and a small orchard then sell. Ill probably be the operator on it. He can get the machine for 27k.


I was wondering if any of yall have run or owned any NH dozers and how they stood up.

They are a case dozer in new holand colors.I ran a d75 and it was the worst dozer i ever ran ,operator controls are poor and just a uncomfortable machine to run .Had alot of electrical issues and poor hydrolics.They are cheep to buy for a reason,they are cheeply made and are hard to resell .the one i ran just sits in the yard now ,no one wants to run it and no one will buy it.Go with the j deere or komatsu it will pay off.

The DC100 were NOT a Case dozer. It was a Fiat branded machine, totaly hydrostic with a Cummine engine.They were built for Fiat but I dont recall by who.

The 2 bottons on the left joystick are for blade float and track counter roation. The later NH dozer models were rebadged as Case machines with some differences in steering controls.

I spend several years with the New Holland construction dealer and we sold many DC70s, 80s and 100s. They were not a bad unit and other than some hyd hose issues trouble free if you kept the hydro oil and filter changed as required. Most often when I hear of someone disliking a hydro NH dozer because of poor performance we find the ECM to be bad.

I have a DC70 and have yet to find anyone who does not like that machine after they spend some time on it.

Thanks I did a comparison and the 75 is indeed a Case, the 80 is an inbetween Macmoter from Italy. They are delivering it for a demo. I think they are wasting their time. For what it will be doing Id rather see my friend buy a on older Cat or newer Deere. He had a D20p but its was too small for cleaning up.

Motrac did you get my link to Macmoter from Italy. They make a full line of equipment. The loader line is neat to see another mfg of trackloaders

I did see you link and found it interesting. I am doubting we will ever see those loaders being offered in North America. New Holland is pretty much turning the NA market over to its sister company Case.
Last I saw NH was only offering compact equipment and one model of dozer and backhoe in the US.

I have a friend in Italy and I might get a chance to go operate some of Macmoter and Piccinni equipment

Thats a link to list of mfgs alot in Italy and Europe. It used to be poted on a few other sites but I found them on MMT. some neat reading o nthe way they use different machines.

That would be a cool trip! This thread made me thing of something that happened back ib 2004.

One bright sunny day this guy came into our dealership and could speak NO english but for a few words and did manage to say dozer. After some phone calls to New Holland we learned he was in town to do some A/C up dates on two DC150s we sold.

Why Fiat felt it needed to send him all the way from the old world to central Indiana for 15 minutes of work still makes me wonder.

And there ya go.... sorry to hear that. Sure seems like a lot of orphan or at least redheaded stepchild machines out there these days.... companies building stuff and abandoning it, or the company gets bought up and resold, *poof* no parts support. I thought the "grey market" stuff from Japan was bad back in the 90's, but that was just the beginning.

Looks like it's a part number 76598875, near as touch 'er thirteen grand and unavailable. Wow. looks like a Sauer-Danfoss motor, but the reduction gear could be anything. Any clues at all on the reduction gear, Bonfiglioli, Carraro, Rexroth, etc.? I'm sure some of the folks on here will be more helpful, but if you want I will see what I can find.
