2008 TL-150 with only 455 hours on it. Sporadic fuel delivery issue- runs strong them just dies for no apparent reason. New fuel filters, new fuel lift pump, clean sediment bowl/separator, new hydraulic filters, new oil change, ...any one have any clues? Hope its not the injection pump.

yea, quits running (completely dies)...then you have to start it back up again and start over until is dies again, which can be anywhere from 5 mintues to an hour or so...strange.

You might have some form of undesirable debris drifting around in your tank clogging the pick up tube. Can't you easily access the fuel hose coming from the tank?

check the fuel pick from the rear of the fuel tank . It is in the center of the tank .It might have screen the banjo bolt .Try blowing air back through the line into the tank . Make sure you take or loosen the fuel cap really good to let the air out . Their is a belly plate under the machine you can take off the gain access to the fuel line coming out of the tank .Also make sure the electric lift pump has good electrical conections.I had one that was hit and mist. The pump would sometime work than not work.

Here is the parts manual look page 188 .

The coolant sensor can also cause random shutdown with even the slightest bubble but I find it usually occurs going uphill and tends to act like fuel problems on the restart, you can ground out the circuit and test it to rule out this problem. Are any lights on the gauge pod flashing once it shuts down? Let us know if you find the solution, it might save me some time and money one day.:D

Hey samson09, did you fix your problem? We have a gehl ctl 80 that just started doing the same thing , we're changing all filters and the inline pump. Just curious .

I sidelined it for a few days but right now we are presently shooting in the dark...the thing is there is no warning lights/alarms prior to shut down, and it starts again right after shutting down. We cut open the fuel filter and don't see anything suspicious there either. All new filters, new lift pump, everything is serviced so right now we are replacing the shut down sylinoid on the injection pump thinking perhaps it is a faulty electrical signal...I'll run it after we replace the new one and see what happens.

Debris in tank

We have a problem on our TL150 every so often and usually have to blow back the fuel line from the electric pump on the door back to the tank. My operator recently pulled out a small piece of rubber foam out of that line. Sounds like there may be some type of gasket that they use that is breaking free in the tank and getting sucked up in the fuel lines.

However, our problem seems to be different than the one this post is about. We have had issues with sensors in the past and have run the machine with the sensors disconnected. There is a service "plug" or "switch" or something like that, which I can't rememember exactly at this time back above the battery on the wiring harness. I think you have to remove some tape to get to it. Once you switch the machine to this mode though, then the machine will run and operate without the lap bar down which can be very dangerous, so be careful if you try this mode. My suggestion would be to try the mode for a day and see if the machines still cuts out. If it runs fine, then you know it's not a plugged fuel line and most likely an electrical sensor isssue.

Just my 2 cents....

Also be sure to remove and clean the water separator, sometimes it will get clogged. Usually there will be a noticeable power loss.

Believe it or not, check the fluid level in the radiator. A buddy of mine had one of those machines, and if the fluid level was even a little low it would shut-off / not run. Hope it helps

just want to add my tl 150 has the same issue.it seems to do it mostly going up or down steep hills when cold. once I also noticed that a gold colored metal part was clicking on the engine bay door at the bottom under the radiator.
