Just wondering If anyone has had any significant seat time in the new case skid steer loaders. I am looking at adding a TV380 to my operation. Just looking to hear about them good or bad.

Thanks guys.

I spent a day on them collectively. Specific to the 380 I conducted a "basement dig" with it at the CASE proving grounds in AZ. I came away overall impressed with the new series. I think CASE should have taken E/H farther than they did. I think the reach on these new models is less than it should be at least on paper. I did not conduct a truck loading excercise with the Vertical lift models so guess we will see how they work in real life. I ordered a loaded TR320 when I got back. Wont see it until July or August. I was told at ConExpo that the cabs on these hold the best pressure in the industry. I believe that. If you look in this section I started a thread on the machines when I got back. It would be around the begining of Feb. if you would like more detail.

I got to play around with a bare bones SR175 and will look at the SR220 tomorrow. They didn't say how it was speced out so it will be a surprise. I think there is a lot of good things on the new series so it will be interesting.

This is surprising to me as I sat in on a conference call introducing the new machines to dealers and they weren't even willing to call them pressurized at that point (last fall). Someone asked the question and their actual response was, "Well, we can't really say for sure..." I suppose they have tested them by now...I guess time will tell once I get my new machines in!

The testing process had to be done with machines that have come off the actual production line. Not the hand built models that have been used during testing. Hence the delay in being able to call them "pressurized". That process is now done. The results so I was told were very impressive. Time in the field will tell but apparently the numbers looked good.

Call it a silly question, but why is it so important that the cab be "pressurized"? I had a Bobcat that showed alot of daylight around the door and it wasnt that big of a deal. There is an inherent fact of getting a little dusty and dirty doing dirt work. :)

No not yet but am waiting on a tr320 to come in to try looks like somebody finally nailed it judging from pics and specs a radial lift thats big enough to heavier work, good front view of bucket which was my beef with the 440 ct and imagine this it will fit on a skidsteer trailer ill only have 1'' on each side but it will fit that just means i have to load it myself if i want any fenders left. If it turns out like i think im getting one

hmm. im still not convinced anyone has a real pressurized cab. does anyone know if there is a separate fan for pressurization on any of them. if you have a cab with a good seal (and no negative pressure) you dont necessarily need pressurization. we have farm tractors with and without pressurized cabs and you cant tell any difference. the pressurized one i actually like less because there is too much air flow to be comfortable for the day, this is in part to some other design flaws tho. i do like how you can hear the whistling noise from outside the tractor from the air trying to escape the cab.

we make a giant indoor pile of shredded corn stalks every year and if you dont have a decent cab for handling this material you end up breathing corn stalk dust all the time. (which i do, and desire a pressurized cab because of it) this can be hazardous and some old timers ended up with "farmers lung" as they got older from breathing such dust.

aslo they say dust can reak havoc on your electric joystick controls.

on our 185 even tho the cab is sealed pretty good you can tell that the cab wants dust, it literally sucks it in the tiniest cracks. you would not believe how much dust comes through the cracks. im not really sure why, the cab must be getting a negative pressure from somewhere.

also the interior cab air filter is always extremely dirty because of all the dust entering the cab. probably should clean it once a week.

I ran the TR270 was very impressed. I ran the machine and later in the day saw the spec sheet and could not believe how strong that machine was given its specs which are close to the current 420CT. It ran like a 440CT in my view. That was what I based my decision on the 320 by. If the 270 was that strong than the 320 would fit me just fine.

Thanks for the information guys. I'm going to see if I can make it to a demo that one of the dealers is putting on at the end of May. Should have a better idea of exactly what I going to need by then.

i might buzz out and drive the sv185 with joysticks the local case dealer has while getting corn planter parts. i looked it over and it looked like it might be alright. i liked how the foot throttle seemed to still be mechanical. im a little concerned what the price will be with joysticks ride control and air conditioning. i will try to stay positive and not pick it apart.
