Case 580k wiring diagram
Hi to all,
Have aquired a Case 580k with lots of loose wires. Although it seems to basically function OK can only start it by jumping the starter solenoid to battery. So a wiring diagram would be a great help to start tidying up what hopefully will be a good work horse.

Wiring diagrams for a 580K can be a little difficult to post as they are on fold out pages in the manual. It is also the most confusing model Case made as it ran quite a number of years with many changes in design.

1) To get things started there is a neutral start switch at the transmission - could be at the power shuttle (early K) or on transmission control valve located under operators seat, access through floor plate (later Super K or SK; s/n JJG 200000+)
2) Under the bonnet flap mounted to the hyd tank side of chassis you will find 2 x relays one of them is for starting

Hopefully your problem is a simple fix & not with your messed up wiring.

Manuals are often available on ebay or on-line sellers - make sure you get the right one. If you want to do your own repairs it will be priceless.

The manual is nearly useless for wireing.
Get a long piece of wire and put alligator clip on each end.
Test from control to other end of wire to figure out what goes where,
Most of the wiring is under the floor boards.
