I have a Kubota KX91-3 that is needing two new tracks. Are the cheap tracks on ebay any good? I think Summit and Prowler are a couple of the brands. I am trying to spend as least as possible, but also would like to get a decent track that i will not have to replace again in a year. So, do these tracks last? Thanks for the help in advance....

I just bought a Prowler track for my BC430 & am impressed with how it has worked so far. I have only put about 30 hours on it so far so no long term opinion yet.

I picked them up at Ward equipment in Greensburg, IN & paid $850 with tax out the door.

Josh- I can tell you that the tracks our company sells are an aftermarket Korean brand and ours like most all others have the industry standard warranty. I will also tell you that the Korean tracks sell for $600 per track and depending on the company, they will ship a set out free. I think you will be happy with whatever brand you select. Most of the companies now a days are using eBay as a way to advertise and move more product. Hopefully this will provide you with some good information. Have a Happy thanksgiving.

You get what you pay for most of the time. Cheaper tracks have less thickness as for the internal cable who's to say. Name brand have to keep their reputation up bad news spreads fast. Working on shale and sharp edged rocks tend to trash them faster so cheaper the better and you don't feel so bad when you see a fresh slice across the track.
McLaren top of the line now come in Orange colour for non marking concrete surfaces the bar is a bit higher now

E-Bay is not the place to buy quality tracks or parts. The best way to go is to get a good brand track at a promotional price. I think Bridgesotne, Mclaren and probably Camoplast (for ASV) are among the best out there. We have been lucky getting some great deals from mclaren, but it is a matter of doing your homework and making few calls around. You can certianly find a deal if you look for it. Just my 50 cents.

Hillboy- I disagree, and for this reason only. Our company sells via eBay, our tracks carry a 1500 hour warranty, we ship a set of tracks for free and we support our customer. I have sold many many of sets of rubber tracks, undercarriages, misc parts via eBay. In todays economy we wanted to branch out with other avenues to produce income and service customers who may not have alternative options. I would put our tracks up against just about any OEM track out there. Now if you are buying from some no name company I would have to agree, but it you are buying from a legitimate dealer such as ours, then you are shopping smart and saving money!!

This is exactly my point. Most tracks on eBay are no brand tracks from unknown makers with uncertian quality. My second point is that if I know you have a good product, I would rahter buy it direclty from you and then you can pass the 5-10% fees you pay to eBay to the customers like me. On a $3-4k order, it's good $$$ savings. This is why I say the best way for me is to buy known brand products on Promotional prices directly from the seller or maker (not thru eBay). Yes, it will require a bit more search and talking over the phone, but you can get both quality and savings. :usa

I will suggest a set of tracks that I have first hand experience with. I'm not sure about cost, and in fact I doubt they are initially inexpensive, but they are, IMO less expensive in the long run. I can not comment on cost because I have not had to buy tracks thus far. To the point...I bought an '06 Bobcat 435 ZHS. It came with Bridgestones. To date there are over 2,500 hours on them. They appear to be a long way from needing replacement. Sure they have a few cuts and gouges, but nothing serious. Tread wear is minimal. We (myself and my employees) do not baby this machine. We do construction in terrain that often is very rocky, and on slopes (it is, after all, called the Rocky Mountains for a reason). Sufice it to say that I am impressed with the life of these tracks. I would be willing to pay more for a product that will outperform, outlast, or is superior to it's competitors products. It will pay off big time, in the end, with better up time and extended service life.
Food for thought.

solideal is also a good track, bottom line you get what you pay for. Buy a track with a name brand like Camo or solideal and it will last longer with out a blow out . If you dont have a blade on the machine maybe a cheapo track will last 1000 hrs maybe only 800 who knows?

Our tracks are warrantied for up to 1800 hours, and we advertise on eBay. We do it to expand our customer base and to advertise our aged attachments. Not all tracks on ebay are junk. It depends on the store you are visiting.

I run a tire shop, and like all the arguements have stated brand name tracks are good just like brand name tires. Toyo has a geat name, but the price is crazy at least here in western canada. I try to promote a good value. I sell tires that I know are the best value. I will sell you whatever you want. if you need to pay 300 dollars for a toyo mt I can get that for you. but if the kelly springfeilds is going to last 70% as long for half the price? I also know that some of the faster wearing tires grip alot better. I had a customer last year state that he got 120 000 kms out of brand X.. I said that is possible but if it is double the price, and you have to drive white knuckles all winter what is the advantage. He said he just kept it in 4x4 all the time. Like that is any cheaper.
buy from someone reputable that sells all or more than one brand.

solideal is also a good track

That's what I have on a T250 and 334D mini. If you have a Solideal Branch near you, drop by and price a set out. I have been happy with them so far.

Just bought a set of tracks for my Cat 305CR. Haven't put them on yet because I need to paint the undercarriage first. They look like a decent set of tracks, well made I'm guessing Korean as the salesman said none are made in the US.

I don't trust the ebay tracks. You never really know who you are buying from or where they are. And I am so sick of this warranty crap everyone puts for their track. I had a set I bought and they snaped after 300 hours. I went back to the company and after weeks of waiting, they told me that I couldn't get any credit and they weren't going to help me. Seems like the "warranty" is only as good as the person selling the track. There always looking for a way out of it. I have bought tracks from a website called Rubber Tracks USA for my bobcat and they are lasting over 1500 hours. I did have one problem with a track, and they sent me a replacement - I had a new track in 2 days!!

Keep us posted on what you buy, my machine will need tracks as well, probably next year. My OEM tracks have 1900 hours on them and are about 70 percent worn.

Here's a thought, Steel tracks. I bought a 121 new and told the salesman I wanted steel, I think he (and most other people) thinks I'm nuts. The previous mini I had I broke a track myself when it ran up on the edge of a stump I couldn't see, & that was it, it was done. No matter how careful you are, rubber can break & you don't just replace a pin or a part, when those tracks break, you just open up your checkbook. I do on occasion miss the rubber, but for the most part I don't. And if me, or an employee breaks a steel track, something is definately wrong with the operator. Just a thought

Fair point - although if you do a lot of domestic work the steels can cause a bit of damage to drives/roads e.t.c plus the steel tracks add at least 100KG onto the weight of a machine so if anybody has a weight limit to get under bear that in mind!!
