Here is the lightest 13 axle configuration trailer ever built. I had the E.D. Etnyre Co. build them for me. The whole trailer only weighs 52,900# and is capable of handling 170,000 concentrated in 16' if need be.

Is that the EX1800 that came from Deffenbaugh?

Yep. Its in Andrews Texas right now, along with the 5110 and one of the 385's, getting ready to dig 3 million yards. I didnt leave anything down there 5 years ago when I was on that job, so I see no reason to follow them down there!

Yes they can, but like any trailer built there is always a compromise. The neck can be more low profile, but will be heavier in weight. There are more pictures on www.blackwellsales.com

I do not want to boast, but yes I do. You see almsot all 13 axles 80ton + weighs at least 65,000# with most of them at 70,000#+. There have only been a few 13 axles under 60,000# which I know and a couple are not even rated for 75 tons. With that in mind they are still not as light as this trailer. There just has been one XL Specialized trailer built that weighs around 55,000# or so and is 85ton capacity.

I didn't think the moderators on this board allowed smart ass remarks though which I am surprised you replied the way you did.

Hmmmmmm................. You know what every 13 axle ever built weighs huh?

Actually Fire and Iron, Justin prolly does know the weights of more trailers than anyone else as he has owned more of them than anyone else. I'd say 1 or 2 percent of all of them on the road he has "had hands on". He sells more trailers for the lowboy market than just about anyone in the US I venture to guess as well. That said, I have to say "Damnit man show us your pictures! I know you have some good ones!" LOL

Thanks for the kind words. I do want to note that I do not know-it-all when it comes to the heavy haul trailer market and I never will know-it-all because there is to much too know, but I do know quite a bit more then most people which gives me a niche in this market.

I have hundreds of pics of lowboys and I don't know where exactly to start. I will post the first ones that pop up on my computer.

Thanks,
Justin

Below is a 2011 Etnyre 55ton 10' wide w/ 30' deck length, 8 axle set-up. Had it built for a customer in Ft. Worth

Here is a new 13 axle steerable Cozad we brought home back in '08. It had disc brakes on it and tire inflation system along with a deck extension.
