Hitachi EX300 throttle control

Went to the auction today, and hopped into a EX300. Never been in a Hitachi before, and for the life of me, could not find the throttle control. No knob, no lever, nothing. All I could do, was just idle it through its paces. This was an older Hitachi, Mid 90's or so. There were no places where it looked like something had once been, So can someone enlighten me as to where the the throttle control is.

It should be those 3 push bottons on the right behind the joystick If I remember correctly
