I have a 590 super L Case Backhoe. Started it up and drove it a few feet. Stopped. After that it would not go, forward or back.. Tried all the gears, looked for stuck declutch. Moving shuttle lever back and forth, sounds like something is working. Once briefly in reverse the backup horn came on. I was able to move it a few feet shifted into forward and nothing again. What??? Help!!!!!

If a shuttle shift - few things
1) Back up alarm should work from FNR lever - if no alarm (be sure alarm is 100% OK) the FNR lever could be suspect.
2) Wiring could be damaged from FNR to control valve or loose plug
3) make sure relays are all fitted properly - ie. machine digging rock may shake one out
4) Broken circlip at modulator (control valve)
I would be looking at electrics if rev alarm is not doing it's job

Look in the upper left corner of the relay panel. There should be an interlock relay that is on the outside of the panel like it was added on. This is an interlock relay that was added during an upgrade and became production later to break the transmission curcuit if there is a problem with the shuttle shifter due to moisture. We have them go bad alot. It looks like a bosch relay and has the same spades but is about twice as long.

Got it. The breaker had worked itself loose. Thanks
