Ummm... do they still have to be for an AG application?

Never seen an A with a dump box on. How did you deal with the tapered frame when mounting the box? Stairs on the right side is different too. Turbo 3208?

Gagetman has a custom terra gator for spraying lime slurry and i think he works with ro-gators too. I'm sure he'll find this thread sooner or later.

I used to run a '97 854 ro gator. Slick machines. I'd really like to run the new ones w/ autosteer and auto sectioning.

We built a sub frame under the dump box which helped clear the tires. Yep it's a T-3208 with an allison auto. Also have a second truck with a Detroit and 10spd in it. Gotta love the Big-A's

Ya we liked the A because of the bullet proof rear end. The early terra gators had internal brakes that could cause problems.

Any one out there running Ro Gators or Terra Gators for a living?

Sorry I'm late to the party again, but it's run n gun season again.

We're trying to finish up our wheat top dress season, while we finally have a dry week of running. We've done well running on frost at night this winter, but have had many calls of late to go ahead and topdress the late planted short wheat that's coming in now that the weather has finally warmed up.Trouble now is the corn is ready to go in,and now we're still running wheat, putting down fertilizer ahead of corn planting, doing some burn down, putting down herbicide behind planters, and very soon the bugs will be out in the alfalfa.

Don't spend much time in a floater anymore these days. Funny how hard work lands you in management these days. For the time-being I'm still running the limegator we built, but will be training a replacement this year. We'll see how that goes,I don't want to give that rig up. She's my baby,no matter how frankenstiened she is.

What would you like to know, pistons? The auto-steer is cool, but we're just getting into the auto-booms. Now that's some cool chit. 90' of booms divided into 5-7 sections that each auto shut off and turn on by GPS,as you cross into zones that have already been covered or not. Badazz on point rows running ground with a lot of waterways or wild boundary creek-bottoms. Yup, the days of turning around at the end of the field, and picking out a fence post to steer at on your next pass are over. :D

We're running 7 terragator floaters and no AG Chem rowgators. So far haven't been too impressed with the durability of their row machines, but they'll be coming around soon to stay competitive. Are trying out a new Johndeer rig this year, jury's still out but looking good.

Sound like some nice features on you units. What row crop sprayers are you running. I have no paticulair question in mind. Had a flow meter fail today. Replaced and all is well.
We are just getting a good start on topdress. Nobody really talking corn yet. About the 10th to the 15th would be pretty early for around here. Getting seed and chemicals out right now.
Don't let 28% get on your can-bus system. We had a system failure and 28 shot all over the wiring. Many thousands of dollars worth of nodes and wiring harnesses were replaced. Thankfully for us it was still under warranty!
Like you, chit is about to hit the fan and I won't have time to get on line. Have a safe spring.

Gadgetman. How is the Deere sprayer doing? We had a trouble code 26 show up on an 1803. The machine would not move in any gear.(Terra Shift) Ended up being a broke wire in the bulk head terminal fitting next to the transmission. Had to replace the wiring harness going to the trans.

As far as I know the Deere has been working good, other than a few "new machine" bugs that needed worked out. Funny, one of those bugs if I recall right was a loose wire which rendered the machine useless. That rig is at a sattelite facility, really don't get to see it much. Our guys are a lil green thinking about it tho. lol

Speaking of Deere,we have a 6103 with one of their motors. Just went down on us after 6000 hrs. Electrolisis seems to be a commom problem with that motor after 5000 hrs. We have a local rebuilding it,who also found a broken bolt holding the bellhousing onto the tranni. Since we had to pull the tranni apart, figured it was time for a rebuild on that as well. We were about to rotate that rig out. Guess we'll hang on to it for awhile now.

We had a busy spring with good running. It just now started raining here, but we're all caught up. Hope it's been going well for you guys too.

I'm speculating that it has to do with the different metals between the liners and the block. Eventually a hole is eaten away in the block. When we noticed was after seeing water in the oil,and oil in the water. Figured that was a bad thing.
