Here's a scraper I hauled for a friend the other day. Not a huge load or anything, but not something I haul often.

Moving excavators, Alaska style.......

There goes an old Bantam C-366, which looks new behind the ancient KW.
Yes, she is loaded over the side- pretty standard here. No, there are no chains, still standard practice. Finally, yes that building on the right across the highway is the combination Police/Fire/State Trooper headquarters. Here we call it a 'Public Safety Building'. I wasnt involved with the move, I was at a BBQ across the street. I did however notice the police chief wave as the getup struggled past, (un-licensed and uninsured, no doubt) as well as a couple firemen washing thier fire truck........who also waved happily.

That just goes to show you that the authorities know not to mess with some poor sap who is just trying to make a living!

Thankfully up here they save charges for crimes and criminals. They dony use them as a revenue source, and typically they dont abuse thier offices. I've been pulled over many times (rightfully so), but never be written a ticket for anything. They take a more 'live and let live' approach.

Don't worry, sooner or later all states will become like California

Thanks for the pics

:drinkupI believe we will suceed from the Union before we let that happen, lol. We have budget surplus situations here, and the State actually pays us once a year. No State income tax, no sales tax, no property taxes (except in a few towns- which have implemented them only recently) and a check for each citizen from oil revenues annually.

California is a train wreck!

I have many hours in a 366.We had to break ours down to move it,the stick will not tuck under far enough to get the clearance we need overhead so we pulled the pin on the stick cylinder.Pics of that model are rare, thanks.Ron G

Where is that compactor going? It looks like Mike brought that to the Whitesboro Landfill.

I hauled a 450D Deere in there right before they got there. I was gone when they got there though. Those tractors replaced some that burned.
