I would like to try either the ProScreen or the EZScreen, with the conveyor to carry the mid sized material off to the side.

One drawback to both is the limit on loader size. I'd like to see a model that can handle a ten foot wide bucket. Of course that would require a bigger motor, possibly something like a 20 to 30 hp size.

Swampdog, ProScreen has a screener that will do, I think up to three yard buckets and my buddy is looking at one of those. It has a conveyor on the front that kicks the mid size stuff off to the side. He has a buddy in Bend that has one and he liked what he saw. I don't know if they have something that big but their phone number happens to be on the side of the machine 877-254-7903. You might give them a call. Don was impressed when he talked to them when he bought his first one.

EZ Screen 1200

I operate and own 13 EZ screen machines in the pacific northwest, and screen over a thousand yards per day on average when all machines are running. Usually have about 10 running full time. I have used Powerscreen, and CEC, and went with EZ Screen for the durability and performance. Without a doubt it is the best machine for the job when you are screening smaller quantities on a daily basis, or a large amount of material. Best of luck, here is the website if you want to contact them.

Girard Resources - I agree that on a big scale you definitely are using your machines well. But us little guys can't afford the ez screen price tag. The ProScreen is perfect for the smaller outfits that don't screen continually because they are affordable and efficient.

I own a excavation company and a rolloff container
Tiger Screen

I have a tiger screen, when the material is dry and workable we can screen 80 ton an hour with a bobcat T300. If we load with an excavator we can get a little more than that an hour and it is very portable. We pull it small jobs to screen 100 tons of topsoil, you get the roots and sod out and it will bring more money and not go to waste. Here is the link http://www.tigerscreen.com/ just my two cents.

Has anyone used the thomas protough screens? we are looking at screens as something we might like to buy in the future so I have started looking around at them. That ez-screen looks pretty slick too. The nordberg box screens are very exspensive, are they any better than the thomas?

Last summer I bought a Screenking Ultra here in Nova Scotia. The lad that builds them was a pleasure to deal with.I think in the States it is a Screenking Titan. He has the larger machine that I bought as well a small machine you can load with a bobcat. We made both topsoil and class a up here and loading with a 215 excavator and hauling away and loading with a 544 loader we averaged I guess a little more than 110 yd per hour.Specs say 150 yd but they must move quicker than I do.This machine worked non stop and other than fueling it up we had no troubles or breakdowns.I'm pondering renting it out this summer but not quite sure what is a fair price to charge by daily, weekly or monthly. If anyone has an idea I would like to hear from you.Well that's all from the snowbelt of Nova Scotia downtown Ashdale population not quite a village.Take care all.

Do not buy a Mccloskey there god dame junk. They are way under spec-ed , I had to repair the largest Mcccloskey trommel they have ever made at a composting site in Ontario Canada on daily bases , every day something new , torn cheep 1 ply belts broken tail pullys.Worn idler rollers ,Hydrolic hoses and cylinders that are two small with bent rods you name it I have replaced it. The company I work for now has a Mccrapsky 412 last week fines belt 2 blown bearings and a broken tail pully that looks like some one has blown it up with a bomb , unreal last year loaded one of there 120foot stacker with salt constantly had to feather the salt in the hopper or the belt would stop two much weight, I beleave it blew the tail pulley out of it as well and a bearing . The best trommel Ive ever used was Royer 616 Trommel Screen it was bullet proof, It caught on fire twice the first time burned a few hoses second time deutz motor got cooked (air cooled )and the hydrolic lines where melted . 7k for new motor and lines was up and running within a week. Very low tech and built like a tank, Lots of production from it as well , If you can find a good used one it will be better then 90 % of whats on the market today.
