A real good friend of mines runs this machine, grooming our many miles of snowmobile trails here in North Idaho. He called me up last night and asked if I wanted to go on a ride along today. Since the weather was to nasty to actually go ride my snowmobile, I took him up on it. winter 08-09 010.jpg

Ah yes, good 'ol BR275's. We have 1 at the ski area I'm working on the grooming crew this winter, good cats. The thing I like best about them is the fact that they're very utilitarian, not a bunch of crap you don't need and everything just works. Decent amount of power for their size, they start great even when not plugged in, and the heater in ours is awesome. The only thing I don't like about it is leg room, I'm not very tall and even with the seat pushed all the way back after a few hours my legs get to hurtin'. I imagine Sirius would be a pretty sweet deal in a cat, we don't have that luxury, but the 275 actually just had an Alpine head unit installed with an iPod jack, next best thing I figure. We have affectionately named our 275 "Cream Puff" as it stands next to the BR350's a little smaller. The Recaro's in these cats are much better than what they put in the BR350's, those seats are garbage IMO. Prinoth went back to Recaro in the Bisons, those are pretty sweet.

I would have to say the biggest flaw with that groomer is the leg room! I'm 6'2" and my buddy that runs it is 6'6". The operators side has a little more room than the riders side. But even at that, we would have to pull over to strech out the legs a little to often.
I myself have never run of these machines. Just been along for the ride:drinkup. Ive never even asked my bud if I could run it. Its his gig and I just offer up what little I know about moving dirt, so mabey he can try to use moving snow!!
Ive got a couple pics of us moving it the other day I'll post soon.

Heres a couple pics from Thursday before we left one snow-park heading to another. As you can see, it warmed up a bit and started raining. At my house , we lost over 70% of the snow pack. Just a bit of flooding, nothing like what happend on the coast.Since I'm a member of our local snowmobile club, I dont have a problem with lending a hand when needed. The 5 bucks I pay for a groomer sticker, plus the 31 bucks for a registration is well worth the nice trails we now have thanks to my bud and his cousin, that now run the groomer. Both of them avid riders, as well as being members to the club. The last guy we had running it could'nt carry grade in a 5 gallon bucket!!

NIce looking setup, I see you guys still use the tiller instead of pulling a drag behind. Must make it a little easier to maneuver in deep snow and tight trails.:)

Dear All

ı ant to buy second hand Bombadier snow cat and next week ı will make a valuation control and technical inspection on BR-275.

its working time between 17000 and 17500 hours.

Could you please give some advice about inspection points and where should ı look first in general.??
What are the main, major malfunction about this snowcat.
And finally, it would be really helpful for me if you can give some price range for 17000 hours worked BR 275

Thanks in advance

This is what most of the groomers look like around here.

My Gawd, that's Nora's! A mile or two east of there is a new horse operation on the other side of 12 & 18, big red pole barn, kind of half hidden from the road. Wife and I were out there two years ago in September, ate breakfast there most every morning. Did you know Carl, older guy, real nice, who died from a stroke around Christmas? He was one of the morning regulars there.

Yes Carl was a real good friend of mine. He passed away on the 24th.

You got the right place but we were out there to help Michelle (who actually owns the place) get some progress going on the barn. Good ol' boy TT had been bluffing his way along trying to get the barn done and spending her money way faster than work was progressing. We have known Shell for 15 years or more and visited back and forth pretty regularly. So, it seemed the thing to to go out and see what could be done to get the job off the dime. Ruffled TTs feathers a little but got the interior posts all in, the stalls graded and ready for mats and all the concrete areas graded and compacted in two weeks.

Lot of nice folks around that area, wouldn't mind living there. Really liked Carl, Shell used to pass on greetings from him when we talked. She called just before Christmas and told me he was down. Just a day or two later she emailed that he had died.

That does not surprise me. I don't know them real good, but I differently know who they are. I was just talking to them the other day about the high-speed rail that is going to come thru here. She is actually one of my buddies insurance agent.

Did you ever get to meet Carls brother?

I know we met him but I don't remember his name. We met a bunch of the locals while we were there, virtually all real nice folks. I wouldn't mind living in the area, quite a lot like rural VT other than a bunch flatter and, from what Shell has said, brutally windy in the winter. You wouldn't happen to know a local dozer operator who answers to "Bullfrog" would you? He moved some material around over at the barn, he wasn't much for conversation but he could cut a grade with a D6.

Yeah I know Bullfrog. He works for RG Houston, he runs a scraper most of the time. He is what I would call a hillbilly, not that it is a bad thing.:D
