this is a dumb question, but do many guys find models of the equipment they've owned/operated?

i think it would be kinda neat to have a model of each piece of equipment i've owned or operated.

doing a little looking around on the internet, seems like there are more models of the really large stuff, the newest models, or things not "mainstream".

any idea where i could find a nice D6R XL OROPS model?

and since i'm asking....

D5 ealy70's vintage or a 320L excavator.

scale isnt that important, just something nice for the office.

thanks!

Well you can find alot of models but some maybe super hard to find like a D6R you may find one on ebay but other then that there was never a mass produced model , I do know a few guys that have custom built one , other then that you can try
www.garberent.com he handles alot of vintage and modern Cat models
www.dhsdiecast.com
www.3000toys.com
www.ebay.com
im sure there are many more I havent listed , but those are the most popular stores
I buy Cat models you can see my collection on this forum , doesnt matter if I have run them or not , I just love Cat machines

thanks for the links. google came up with a couple of those for me, others i hadnt stumbled across.

understood on running them or not. i've got most of my farm equipment from my childhood, and we dont own many MM or Case's but they are still cool to own.

it would be pretty neat in 20-30yrs to have a replica of the stuff you spent hours on.

i am surprised with as many d6r's moving dirt that there isnt a main line model for them, and yet in hunting around your statement of not being a produced model feels correct.
