Does anyone here know what is involved with adding High Flow Auxiliary Hydraulics to a Case 1845C, or converting the existing Auxiliary Hydraulics from standard to high flow?

I had converted 3 1840's to run high flow. The dealer did the actual install. It works well enough, just remember that the 1845C makes about 56 hp. So depending on what your planning on doing with it, you will be some what limited. If memory serves me it makes about 30 GPM at 2500 PSI.

So, it's just a fluid pump replacement? The standard pump produces about 16 GPM and the high flow is about 30 GPM. Will the increase in flow (nearly double) affect the hydraulic system in any way?

I never had any negative effects from it. I ran several of those machines to 3000 hours before trading them. I will say the one thing I noticed is that I had to go through and put hose protectors on some of the hyd lines to keep them from rubbing. With the high flow plumbing things get even tighter in the engine compartment and this puts hoses in close proximity to each other. Watch that and you wont even know that the machine has high flow till you need to use it.

The high flow activation is done by a toggle switch on one of the control handles.

What attachments do you plan on running? If you are running attachments with high power demands, you might be better served by updating the machine. I have had high flow on several 95XTs and my current 465. These machines are incredibly powerful by comparision, my 465 now makes 41 gpm and 4000 psi ( I have replaced several of the relief valves with updated pilot valves to increase the pressure to 4K up from 3K). Thats a lot of flow.

Thank you so much for responding with such helpful information!

I'm sure a machine upgrade would be the best and most desirable solution. Unfortunately, finances will not allow.

The attachments I have are:
1) Case back hoe
2) Bradco trencher
3) Alitec stump grinder
And, I would like to get an auger in the future.
Currently, the only attachment that requires high flow is the stump grinder.

So I have to replace all the hydraulic lines?

There is a RED button on the right controller. Is it possible the machine already has high flow?

No that red button is the horn. The high flow will be toggle with a guard on it at the top of the control handle opps. the horn.

The high flow kit will have large connectors. Your stump grinder if you have been running it on low flow will need the larger connections. The hoses themselves may or may not need to be replaced depending on what Alitec put on the attachment. If the stump grinder is a high flow attachment than the hoses should be the correct size from the factory, assuming they have not been replaced with smaller hoses.

You may have already done this, but I would reconfirm that the alitec grinder is a high flow attachment. They make several models. I would perhaps make a call to Alitec tell them your serial number and the machine you have and make sure they are compatible. You can cause problems with the attachment and or the skid steer if the two items don't play well together.

Your trencher may also be able to run on the high flow. Considering that the 1845C is lower on high flow you may be able to use it even though it is a low flow trencher. Again a call to the attachment OEM would answer your questions for certain. Good luck.

I have hi-flow on my case 1845c, never had the need to use it yet. I have noticed with most attachments that there is a range of flow that will work. and have not found any attachment that would not work with the case. Having said that I would assume since it on the lower end they just would not be as efficient.

There is an additional pump for the high flow system, it mounts on the engine below the injection pump. I don't know if Case had or has a kit to add high flow.
If you go to case's web site, you can acess the parts list for the high flow system.
I thought about installing high flow on my 1845c, but haven't done it or needed it yet.

I have a high flow system

I have a high flow system that I just took off my 1998 1845C. I am not sure if anybody would want to buy it? I took it off because I did not use it and did not want the possibility of leaks.

I still have the High flow system for sale if anybody wants it. Does anybody know what is a fair price to ask for it? I am planning on putting it on EBAY, if I cant find somebody to buy it.

I would price the pump from CASE and then ask half of that.

It also has a electronic solenoid valve that must release the flow for the hydraulics. This bolts to the bottom skid plate and all the hoses run into it.

jamie, was yours single direction or bi-directional high flow? [single has the push button,bi has toggle switch]. Are you including the hyd lines & wiring?

It was just the single high flow. I am including everything that needs to go with it. I bought the machine last winter and use it around the farm, so I figured that I would eliminate the High flow part to eliminate the possibility of leaks. Mine did not have the toggle switch on it though, I am not sure if somebody eliminated that. It looks like everything else is there though. It has about 5 hyd. hoses, the electronic solenoid that directs the hyd. flow and the bracket that attaches to the loader arm with the 3 quick attach fittings.
