First it aint mine it was the truck drivers, and 2nd I've never seen or heard of such a piece of kit.
I thought it was really neat but you obviously have encountered them before.

Are they really that bad/dangerous or is it a case of them getting used for way in excess of what they are designed for? It seems a perfect bit of kit for this operation but I am very intrested in your comments/experiences.


I received this by Email to day from a commercial presentation (NOT TAKING CREDIT FOR THIS) and recalled this thread,I have never used this product but apart from the pretty petite model with the wrong foot ware it seems to tick all the boxes for H&S

I finally escaped the compound to go and do some proper work :rolleyes:

I thought these were t(h)ree fellas but there were only two of them.

The hardshoulder ( verge) is on the move so has to be reinforced before a contaflow can be installed

Once I was sure I had sufficient material I cut myself a step and started to build the fill up in layers

A bit tight for space but a good lad on the roller with a bit of ballet dancing to change ends.

Those ashphalt millings sure are useful, there is not a dirt track, dirtroad or driveway around here that doesn't have a couple cubic metres of the stuff on them...
