What manufacturer started putting the cab on the left side of the machine? I think it would have been a horrible transition to go from the right to the left side.

Hay, I just took possession of a Hy-Hoe 3300. runs great, but needs some work, which I am looking forward to do. Just wondering if there are any manuals around for the 3300.?

Nice looking machine. Looks cleaner than the one I just got home today. Looks the same as yours. Any idea where or if there are any service or parts manuals around?
Want to do some work on mine and would make it a lot easier if I had them or copies of them. Thanks

Right now, just took the top rollers off, they are seized.
Nest the disk brake mechanism, that stops the machine from turning is not working.
then there is a list of other stuff to do, when I get time.

Its an old machine that has sat for a few years. Engine and hydraulics work great. Other than a few hydraulic leaks. Alredy replaced two of the bad hoses. Its a project to restor it.

That would have a Detroit 4-53 4 valve engine. They did use some V8 Cummins but I am not aware of the model and few were actually installed. When I worked there (1968) they had one Cimmins powered prototype. Any service reps or sales demonstrators that were in the office would go out in side yard and run tests on it. I remember once when I had to check the hydraulic oil temperature every hour (or maybe half hour, can't recall for certain). The only real item I recall as being all that different performance-wise than the Detroits was the slower recovery time after being bogged down.

Hello all, I've been viewing the forums for a while now and finally decided to register.
I have become the proud owner of a Hy-Hoe Model 580 track mount. Unsure of the Manufacture date, but I'd guess it to be 1960 or older.
I'll post some pix as soon as I get a working camera.

I also got my hands on a 380-E service parts book. It's in fold-out blueprint format. Hopefully I'll get them HQ scanned and uploaded.
Stay tuned.
