So where do you mount the strain guage? How many sensors can the controler handle, can it do the front axle on the tractor too?Got any pictures of the strain guage mounted, how accurate is the system?
For a walking beam style suspension like on the back of the 9 axle you would mount one on top of each walking beam or on the jeep one on each equalizer. On the air ride part of of the truck or trailer it just taps into the air line going to the air bag. For the front axle of the truck you can either add another strain gauge or have it calculate what the weight would be on the front (that's what we do on the truck we have installed on in our fleet). The system is very accurate as long as it was calibrated so on at a 60,000 axle group the weight would be within 99% according to the mfg of the system. I will work on some pictures of the mounted gauge. I know I don't have any on my computer at the moment so ill have to run out to the yard and take ours apart.
