Andrew- In all seriousness you have to be crazy to do this type of work.
Ask yourself- Do you mind working 18 -20 hour days? Do you have the employees who are willing to work those hours and get covered in mud ( I mean covered) and water?
Can you think outside the box and make quick on the spot descisions? Can you get the bonding for this type of work?
And this is just the start...

Not trying to discourage you, but this type of earthmoving is not for everyone. Sometimes the job's go smooth , no problems . But when it gets bad , it is bad.

You will understand as i update with more pics.
Any questions feel free to pm me.

TSS- Then call me crazy:D I enjoy a challenge. And don't worry, I'm extremely hard to discourage.

BTW- You have a PM.
Looking forward to seeing more pics as your job progresses.

sorry it's taken so long to update! Been pretty busy.

Pond has been back on, but due to problems with the Developer , we wont be back to this particular pond until late spring, early summer. We got the whole forebay cleaned of mud, so we will just be going back for the main bay which has about 100 triaxle loads of mud.

I also have some pics of 3 other jobs. First pics are of a garbage clean up for the same developer but on a different site.

Now here are some pond pictures. Enjoy!

First pic- Pond filled right up!
Second pic- Yes there was that much water coming into the pond.
Third pic- 2 days later and 38 hours of work later, shes almost pumped down. Starting to haul ice out of the forebay.
Last 2 pics- Hauling an ice and mud mixture. I would much rather be loading with the 450 then the long reach.

Done one job, rolling on to the next.

Another pond for the same developer we cleaned almost 2 years ago. Now there is a problem with the drain. (Nothing to do with the job we did here) Pond is holding way to much water. We have to fix the drain, place some gabion stone, and repair some sagging armour stone.

First pic- Pump on the ice

Second pic- Sagging armour stone on the left we have to repair. ( Stone is falling due to the high water level washing out its base. There are 4 levels of stone here that are suposed to be exposed)

Third pic- Setting the pumps.

Fourth pic- Making a hole in the ice for the intake

I'd have the freaking door and windshield shut if it were that cold!

LOL, yeah you bunch of spoiled brats. For me -23 is a nice balmy afternoon. Bust out the shorts, sunblock and a rootbeer.
