Shouldn't I be able to test if pump is good by supplying 12v to verify operation of pump? Unit just stopped today after 2 years of no issues, can't hear anything happening at pump. Pre- Filter is a little dirty but not clogged, have new filters coming. Want to verify if pump is gone by testing.

Replace pump. We have had to replace our 2018 299D2 pump twice. Once it starts cavitating and knocking, the pump is shot. Everyone says the Pumps are junk. Its been an issue.

Remove the fuel output hose from the pump. Turn the key ON but do not start the engine. The pump should run for a few seconds then stop. If it does not run disconnect the 2-pin wiring harness connector that supplies power to the pump, turn the key ON again, and check for battery voltage at the engine side of that connector. The presence of voltage when you turn the key ON indicates that the machine is doing what it should but that the pump is toast.

If you are going to the expense of filters (replace the small pre-filter whatever it looks like) don't forget to drain the cr@p out of the fuel tank (drain plug rear left corner under the machine) to get rid of the water & sediment before you fit new fitlers.

If you want detailed illustratrions, Part Numbers, etc, then please post a Serial Number.
