I just purchased an ‘84 Komatsu d31a-17 and am wanting to replace the fluids. I have the shop manual and am waiting on the operators manual, the manual calls for motor oil for almost all the fluids. Previous owner used 20 wt hydraulic fluid for hydraulic system. Will it be okay to continue with this? Also, curious about using Mobil trans fluid for transmission, suggestions? Lastly, what should I use for the steering clutch case and bevel gear? Thanks in advance

well with the price of hydraulic fluid next time you due the change stick with the 10wt motor oil or if you cant find it then ISO 32 will work or AW 46 just check on that big filter make sure its good and not cloged up
