Hayes Canyon here had 3 plow sand trucks for logging roads the newest one was a fancy star with all the Bells and toys.

1972 last of the small windshield 359's with fiberglass hood, under 300,000 miles.
I've long dreamed of having a belly blade on a dump truck when hauling with a fleet in the woods. Soft spot forms in the haul route? Just spread a load of 3"- over it and slick it off smooth instead of just raising the whole thing up and still having a bump until the grader comes through next year. I have no idea what they are capable of in terms of pushing rock, but it's fun to think about.

Dana had problems with snow build up and heat from the engine etc on a regen.

To slow down or stop all the exhaust heat melting the snow on the turntable of the underbody he installed a piece of belting. Then it got almost to hot under the cab so 2 fans were installed under the cab , this worked very well.

Kept drivers awake, married 4x3, no power steering, no air seat, not much insulation. actually had
to be driven.
