Started back on the school I was demolishing last year. Here's a few pictures before I got started and when I started today.
seeing this makes me wonder if the little 2 rm. school I started in 70 yrs ago us still standingCity owned it, the flat roof had gone bad and was cost prohibitive to fix. The one with the white on the left hand side is actually a nice building but to to make it in to like a community building and meet state and fed codes won't work. This is a small town of a 1000 people with no extra money, I cut them a real good deal just to help them out as this is the area I have lived my whole life. Went to school there and got my ars whipped a few times in that building.
The dirt area is where the gym was I took down last year. Farmers in the area are paying my trucking for the brick and hammered up concrete which helps a lot. With dumpster fees and my bill minus the hauling of material I got the gym down and hauled away for under 25,000. Sometimes it's not about making a bunch of money but just trying to be a decent neighbor.
There are no grants to fix these building but if they have a clean lot it looks like they could get grants to build a new community building. Government at it's best.
