That's alotta wheels! What can you gross with that setup?

That truck can gross 164,000 lbs according to Michigan weight laws.

18,000 on front axle, 13,000 pounds each on the next 6 axles, the tandem group on the pup can scale 32,000 pounds, and each of the rear 2 axles on the pup can scale 18,000 pounds each. Michigan allows less gross weight per axle than most states, but does allow for more axles. All truck configurations are restricted to a maximum 11 axles and 164,000 pounds total gross. Those log trucks like @Bumpsteer posted are real common in certain parts of Michigan since they can load themselves in a remote spot in the woods, and then haul to whatever mill is buying. I don't see them too often in my area though as we don't have much pulp wood. I see a lot of smaller log trucks hauling hardwood logs for lumber though.

The theory is you're moving a little more than two 80,000 pound trucks worth of payload with one truck. They claim it helps the roads by having less weight per axle and less trucks overall. I dunno. It's just how they have it set up since before I was born.

Edit: Michigan enacted their current weight laws in 1967 restricting trucks to a maximum GVW of 164,000 pounds on a maximum 11 axles, properly spaced.
