Pictures don't do it justice but painting and reassembly has begun.
Top of the roof, sun visor and glove box door are done. Satin black on the inside of the firewall, steering column, shifter knobs is done, burgundy paint on the interior will hopefully be done today or tomorrow.
New chrome has started to arrive, things are moving quickly now!

Quite a bit of progress the past couple of weeks.
Roof and interior have been painted. Horns and cab lights installed. Electrical is basically done. Stacks, grab handles and mirrors have been mocked up. Air conditioning system has been replaced.

Is there a way lower the stacks some? Unless something really high is going behind the cab I think it would look more proportionate with the stacks about 6 to 8 inches above the cab. The truck will look great when it's all put back together.

There is a big Surerus yard in Gibbons I drive by when I go out to my property. They have a lot of equipment.
Are you putting the spare tire up on the headache rack too?

No, I think we're going to mount the spare vertically on the headache rack below the window.
Im not 100% certain about that yet.

Paint is done, reassembly has started.
It's s really starting to come together and it looks awesome!
Plan is to take it down the road to the engine shop hopefully early next week to get the engine, transmission and transfer case pulled out to address any leaks and repairs needed. They're going to detail and paint the components as well while they're out.

Is the truck going to have a short jump seat against the back window, or are you just putting front seats in and leaving the back for storage?

It's going to have a back seat out of a Chev extended cab.
It's going to be mounted so the bottom will still fold up in case the space is needed.

Very cool i have often thought about building something like a Grizzly or cutting down a cabover. You must know a very special shop to take on a job that is freshly painted or they need work bad.
