Used Cat 308/310 or sany/etc

Looking to buy a excavator I’m not sure where to start. I’m looking at cat 308/310 size or equivalent. Can’t afford new cat but I’m within range of new sany. Would I be better with used cat or new sany?

That is a tough one...I ran a brand new sany...it worked OK...did the job....but still prefer to run the 10 year old case. The control response and controls themselves were a little off.

I'd rather the used Cat .... At least you can find parts and guys that know them.
