Have had a John Deere 570 A grader for a few years has been running great till today. Transmission was getting low on fluid do to a leaky hydraulic box (sorry don't know the proper name) on the turn table. Long story short employee added "not much" regular hydraulic fluid because it "looked nasty". Probably did wrong thing but topped off with hydragurd from JD. After a couple hours of operation grader started to not shift into gear after stopping motion then wanting to move again. Will shift into gear after turning off engine and restarting. Check transmission fluid level appears to have some water in fluid. Suggestions on what I should do, drain transmission, replace filters and refill with fresh fluid?
If someone could tell the name of the hydraulic box on turn table I would appreciate that. Box has something to do with blade tilt.
Thanks

I've got no idea what the transmission problem is. The box you are asking about is probably the circle drive motor or rotary manifold.
You can do a search on "John Deere Parts" and get on the JD site to find parts breakdowns and numbers for the 570A.
You can also get repair manuals online for free.

Thanks Tim for the info.
I changed the transmission filters, grader seems to be functioning normally now. Plan on draining transmission fluid and new filters again as soon as I get machine back to shop.

You should be able to look up the parts online at jdparts.

We have a 670A and the parts list for it is all online.
