It's pretty terrible, tell everyone you know, stay away from Colorado.
a few of the other things that come with living in New England /QUOTE]
What are these things?
Well, be prepared for sticker shock when you look at the houses listed for sale. Also, be prepared for the heat wave down there. We are soooo glad we moved out of Texas and up here to Ohio last winter. Don't think we will ever go back.WHAT?!?! The brochure said nothing of this! Actually we lived in uvalde from 2013-15 and I worked in the oilfield so we have an idea of what we’re getting into. We’ve had enough of the cold weather and a few of the other things that come with living in New England and we’re ready to go back. Actually flying into Texas in a couple weeks to go house shopping.
And some good boatable rivers there I believe.Glad I live where I do. No Hurricanes, No Tornados, No lake effect snow, No swamps, No humidity.
Average winters, average summers. Off in the uncrowded SE part of the state, in the edge of the
Blue Mountains with the Columbia and Snake Rivers not far away.
I was in Portland Or one-time years ago for a 6-day week..........it rained every day.
I didnt like it for several reasones were you live and what you like is your choice . We moved there when i was in school . It was a small school at the start of the year there was just a hand full in my class but before the year was up it had grown to 3 times its size there wasnt enough desks books or room i didnt have books for 2 classes and flunked one of them. That teacher was a real ass hole he cussed me out in class one day because i didnt anwser a question on some home work how could i with out a book. They had several complants about him but all the facalty were buddys and they couldnt get rid of him. Then all the kids that were born there didnt want to make friends with out siders because of the way things were every year a bunch of new kids moved to town and over crowed the school making it tuff on every one . The new kids didnt want to make friends ether they were from familys that were moving around alot and know they wouldnt be there long. On top of that it was a 4 day school week so it was a long day my mom was going through a bad time and i didnt ever have a lunch or have money for lunch. In was away from every thing i had grown up with. Any time you grow up in area and like it then move to some were along ways away its going to be different . Before that we lived in Iowa for 2 years i liked it there and steal have friends from there. What people do is there own choice and if it dosent affect me or hurt others i dont care but i liked the days of dont ask dont tell. It's pretty terrible, tell everyone you know, stay away from Colorado.
Says the guy from a state that nobody wants to live in. I was in Oklahoma last August for my stepdaughters wedding. Didn’t feel much different than south Texas did. It’s hot. No doubt about it. But I’m fed up with the cold. And the snow. And the low wages. And the taxes. And the left leaning welfare recipients who think they’re owed a living. Oops, did I say that? All I remember about Texas was steers and ............dam, what was that phrase?

Maine doesn’t have Texas bbq.
And yet the fishermen are only getting paid $1.75/pound of fresh caught lobster here in Washington County. Lots of them have stopped fishing until prices rebound. Anyone burning lots of diesel knows their pain but when the market treats them like this, it hurts the entire community. No joke. Right now 1 lb of picked lobster meat to make rolls is $80
