Why do I have a feeling that the US is headed into the same Marxist hole?[/QUOTE
No it's not old mate, it's heading into a fascist hole. Check out the differences.

Folks, in order for this thread to remain open you all MUST refrain from political comments. This is a viable thread as current fuel prices are affecting us all but please keep the comments on the cause off the Board. We've had to clean things up here several times now and if it continues we'll be forced to close it permanently. I don't want to add to your frustration, so PLEASE do NOT post political comments. This policy has kept the peace here since we started and I'd like it to continue. Thanks

Local fuel supplier here told me couple days ago that the terminals are not allowing any overrides if someone exceeds their allocation. That's never happened before. Moral of the story is if he needs fuel for the station, and allocation is used up for that week, the station will sit with an empty tank until the following week.

Go to Gasbuddy.com , prices updated in real time by people on their phones. They have maps and lists of stations and a trip planner.

What is interesting is how wide the spread has gotten. It did not used to be this much difference between Ca and the civilized world before prices went crazy.

OH !! Gas !
Then it's right. $4.75. Diesel $6.19.

I've been working on getting a 1999 RAV4 that's 2wd going. Gets almost 30 mpg. The poor thing inhaled a mouse nest made of the air filter !!! and I can't get the EGR code to quit coming up.....

No shortages or word of allocations in my OA. The Alaska market isn’t tied to any one particular pipeline or refinery like regions in the lower 48. It’s a more global perspective. It’s almost as easy to get a barge from Asia as from the PNW.

The funny thing is I’m seeing higher prices on the road system, in some cases, as I am in the bush. That’s because the bush fuel was purchased & delivered before the ever escalating price increases.

With a global market for diesel and high demand from countries seeking to replace Russian fuel, the free market will look for the maximum profit which can be made.

Even though some on this forum doubt electric vehicles there’s no disputing that the more electric vehicles there are, especially where they work best in cities, the more diesel would be available for agriculture and heavy transport.

The amount of lithium mines in Australia going into high volume production in the next few years will also drop battery prices significantly and electric vehicles will be very cost competitive with petrol/diesel vehicles.

We already have electric semi trailers under testing in Australia https://www.januselectric.com.au/
These trucks were already showing substantial savings compared to diesel before recent price hikes.

Our issue is not the availability of electric machines, are testing full electric trucks W Coast, AMAZON has full electric delivery vans and are Tesla Cars everywhere, HOWEVER our electrical system is in peril, plants are getting old, wind and solar are not cutting it as general Bulk delivery replacements, only new Nukes USA are in GA (2) with (2) in SC stopped newer fossil stations were built but the rants to get them closed are now working, and the newest wrinkle is Large Solar Arrays Reflect MASSIVE amounts of Heat BACK into the atmosphere causing warmer than expected regional temps around them. Nothing Humans EVER Do to "Fix" a problem have ever done more than exacerbate it or create worse.
