I have a laser box grader (Sharpgrade) on my 299D2 XHP. The grader I have has another attachment on which is a power rake / Harley rake that uses the same hydraulic manifold on the grader.

Running it through the 1/2" hydraulic ports ran the power rake too slow so I put a jumper cable on the 14pin plug to activate high flow. I believe the jump was for 120lpm? This brings the temp up above 90c and into temp warning.

Would I be better off changing the pipes and connectors to the 3/4" for less restriction? or would this increase pressure too much?

Also am I correct in thinking there is another high flow jump to 150lpm?

G..G..G..Granville.........!! Fetch your cloth.
What's the Serial Number.? There are 5 models of 299D2 XHP to choose from.
Also how many sets of auxiliary hydraulic connectors does it have and which ones are you using.?
A photo of the Aux connectors would also be useful.
What flow does the attachment manufacturer require and at what pressure.?

150L/min is max flow according to the specs. See attached.

I would talk to the Sharp Grade guy in NZ. I have a Sharp Grade as well, but I don't have the rock rake attachment. I would be certain that it doesn't take high flow to run it, especially at 40 gpm and 4k psi. I would guess that either the machine isn't making proper flow at the reg aux line or the hyd motor on the rock rake has issues. The increase in hyd temps tells me that your dead heading the hyds due to excessive flow, I am surprised that you haven't taken out the hyd motor on the rock rake. I would cease running the attachment on high flow. Looking at the spec from Sharp Grade, I don't see where it lists the flow, but if it required high i am sure it would say that, and I have seen any rock rake that needed high flow.

No worries.
I have solved the issue (hopefully).
I was running the grader through the 1/2” (U.K. size) and not the 3/4” (1” U.K. size) pipes so it was creating a buildup for return pressure.

serial number is dx204524

and here is a pic of the plug
