Walkaround is required for ANY E-stop.

Weighed 68800 getting up to here, then loaded 24T to take back from Bowling Green, loader operator got a bit Carefree with the Rock. Then came upon this rube, Half Ton GM, Rust ball, 12-14' trailer NO WORKING Lamps, 25-30 mph so I got to a lucky spot running downhill and passed

FIVE bales on trailer, not a rope or strap ANYWHERE.

And I passed him grossing over 72000

One aspect to consider spud, as has been stated before grain trucks or Ag beds were never intended to be Dump Trucks. Loose really dry and somewhat light materials are hauled not like rock or excavation materials.

Would seriously be looking for a tandem dump truck of some variety to fill with the 977. Cheap is not always better.

I've found my 14' flat bed with racks is OK for gravel, topsoil, boulders, though some care in being on reasonably level when dumping. Then it is very versatile to carry a dozer, lumber, logs. Also makes a nice welding table when tilted.

I'll admit a tandem would haul three times as much in one trip.

There ought to be something that can no longer be run in California left over in some yard somewhere. I don't know of one any more though. But it only takes one. Maybe something that has some sort of mechanical problem that makes it impractical for daily work any more, but would be OK for homeowner use.

I was kidding about it being a gem, I wouldn't pay $4500 for a truck I can get around $750 ditch it when done or gets destroyed doing the work it needs done then grab another one. I got almost a year worth out this current truck for $850 and I'm not sad to see it go down. "If I let it go down"
After this rock is done if I see a need for a decent dump truck or someone can list reasons to need one besides just moving this bit of rock I will invest in one, this is good for now. I look at it as cheaper than rental and cheaper than having rock hauled in by 100 fold per each load it gets.
