working on a Case 440 skid steer machine serial number is N6M426894
engine serial number is 46577728 assuming this is a Case number, not a Cummins ESN, which is why I'm struggling for info.
looking for info regarding fuel injection pump replacement and exactly how to verify number 1 TDC.
anyone have the service book for, im assuming, a cummins B4.5
any help or advice is appreciated.
thanks
Drew

Definitely an Iveco FPT engine.
@thepumpguysc those 450 timing videos are for 40yr old Case 188's / 207 engines - not even close - you need stick to info from injector pump tags bro! :p

There is a timing plunger that locates into the camshaft gear under the injector pump - or should I say there is a removable plug to install a timing pin to engage the cam gear to locate TDC.
The injector pump timing gear does not have a woodruff key, so the pump needs to be locked in TDC if removed.
SO, if another injector pump is going to be fitted, it MUST be timed to TDC by folk that have that ability - your local diesel fuel injection shop will be able to do that.

That particular pump likes to implode.. if they get the slightest bit of air in them.. & it’s usually the lift pumps fault..
The lift/supply pump goes bad and the injection pumps internal supply pump works it’s ax off..
A word to the wise:: REPLACE the supply pump before installing a rebuilt injection pump..
The name plate is etched very lightly so once u get it off, the info is behind the cold start solenoid..
Once u get it off, write down & search the Bosch 10 digit #..
0 460 *** ***. Good luck..
