That tarp is 20'X30' and polypropylene material. Quite a bit heavier than the blue, or silver tarps marketed as "heavy duty" in the home centers. This one was a bit more expensive but wind storms destroyed two other tarps of lesser quality. Menards, (home center) warrants these tarps for five years against tearing and they are easy to work with on their products.
I ran thick cardboard edge protectors around the perimeter of the ROPS, limb risers, blade corners, etc. These were adhered with "Gorilla Tape" before pulling the tarp over with a helper. No sharp edges this way and with quite a few bungee straps in the welded grommets to attachment points, it's quite rigid.
Just before starting to work with the tarp, and just after pulling the older tarp away, I took this short video. This is the second engine start in just over a month with the first being less than ten minutes prior and only running about 10 seconds which was long enough to raise the blade six inches to extract the remnants of the original blue tarp.
