Its either a Euclid or Terex .Is that blue and white truck a Euclid? It sure looks a lot like a Euclid tractor unit.

My memory isn't what it use to be , so the next time I see Colin I'll inquire as to what those logs were for . They would be a specialty order . The one thing that I do recall , is that the fellow on the end of the log unhooking the "choker" ( which was caught in photo flying through the air) is the Yarder Operator . It seems he was the only one on the crew who was comfortable to walk out on log to do it .I would guess long logs like that are turned into poles for power and phone lines. Other wise they would have been cut out in the woods to be easier to handle.
I would suspect this log is being transported to camp to be used as part of an "A frame " for dumping logging trucks at log dump .Bob James Collection Jaskatla QCI View attachment 251655 View attachment 251656
Could be used on a "Booming Grounds" , but they look big and long , even for "Winter or West Coast " Boom sticks . The regular length for a boom stick is 66 feet and I haven't run across a boom stick I couldn't lift with a 599 American or Model 6 Northwest . Those logs look to be at least a 100 feet long .Boom sticks also
