I told this on here about 5 years as it had happened 5 years ago. If you don't have a cast iron stomach don't
read it.
Dispatch got a call from the sheriffs dept and a trucking company out of Manitoba. One of their drivers
died in a truck here on the edge of town near Martin Archery. One of Martins employees noticed the truck
had been setting in the same spot for four days and he could smell something. The coroner figured he had
been dead for at least that many days. The guy was huge it took seven fireman to recover him from the cab
which was filled with rotting food, and feces. The guy was know to have severe mental issues also.
When it came time to figure how to move the tractor trailer which the WSP wanted impounded in our yard
everyone started backing away. A tow truck was three hours wait and they wanted it moved asap to investigate.
Literally everyone said not me I'll puke.
The fire boys gave me a plastic suite and peppermint under my nose. I climbed in built air and drove it to
the yard. I've smelt some pretty bad things years ago towing. But that one well it rates #1.

Like confetti comes pouring out  damn mice. From previous owner was a farm truck. Don’t get me started on the 10 lbs of mice schit found in the bunk heater blower:eek:

This guy broke down on the west side of Spokane going westbound fully loaded on the interstate 90, nice traffic jam and pissed off people. Loaded to the point he told me he weighed 80,900 lbs in Montana and he barely made it across the scales in Washington state under 80k. No one stopped to help which I know someone had to have a chain and power to pull him before I got to him. He said the rig just shut down, I told him a sensor on the coolant probably or somewhere, but I pulled him off the road. Tried offering me money but told him I don’t want it, didn’t do much. Took one the chains off my load on the back and pulled him.FC8143CE-CE1D-4234-AB7F-D7A68F6EF76F.jpegBBF193EB-D591-497F-B873-4F8D8B3A9E69.jpeg

I carry a roll of blues towels, a package of Orange Clean moistened towels, have trash can in cab that is emptied daily, a can of spray window cleaner and a roll of toilet paper(a must have out rural!).
Spray cleaner to wipe down dash and gauge faces every few days, keep windows where can see and mirrors leas murky with road film.
May not be pristine clean but no trash no garbage and no bugs. Will stop and pee as beed to, no need to use a bottle as that is just beyond nasty.

I remember back in my truck repair days that a lot of rigs (mostly loggers & dumps) had coiled air hoses with nozzles plumbed into the cabs. Other over-the-road rigs smelled of BO so bad it was more desirable to get stuck working on a livestock hauler that had not been hosed out.

Pulled into truck stop and this pulled up next to me, I think you are missing a few components there  hope they didn’t hit anyone. Wonder if Vern noticed he had extra lug nuts laying around for some odd reason at the tire shop…

Was this anywhere on I-80 near Donner Pass? Yesterday on our Sacramento NBC station they showed a clip of a truck dragging his rear axle thru the snow.

Things like that really are more common than one would think, minimum of 20 a day across the country.
