In the last photos I noticed that the body was removed from the second model, it may soon go to the customer, I will try to find more information.

Response from the Chief Designer (of course, we are talking about 75711):

«We made another dump truck from this series, only with a Russian-made traction drive and the platform was needed for load tests»

So, to date, how many have been sold and how many built?

I read an article in Engineering and Mining Journal that Belaz is not doing too well. The trade embargoes have caused them to have to cannibalize two of the 450 tonnes for parts to build smaller trucks.

It makes sense they should concentrate on models that are selling. There just doesn't seem to be a market for their 450 tonne trucks.

It's not even a case of concentrating on what is selling. They have very few orders, and are cannibalizing trucks they have sitting around so they can get the parts to build them. There are embargoes in place against the country and government, and they are suffering for it.

1 sold over a period of how many years should be an indication there isn't much demand for their 450 Tonne trucks. It may be a great truck but that doesn't translate into sales. How long will they continue to invest mega $$$$ into something that shows little interest.
There is no way other brands would ever have an open house to view trucks and allow people, including kids, to climb on the trucks or in the wheels. If that kid fell and got injured I can just see $$$$ in liability and/or lawsuits. Apparently back in the 60's they would have open houses when a new stripping shovel was set up but that all got stopped due to liability issues.
