Yeah, I am probably overthinking just a bit in a smaller pond. Obviously I would need optimal conditions but I think at least 2 highway dump trucks would work as well as anything. My hoe can bulk well over 2yd per bucket so I can load trucks pretty quick, and I have the power to rip material out without much of a fight.
Probably only looking at 1 day difference in the different methods. With the pull scraper, I would first need to find one that is not over priced, then figure out how to get its functions working behind the dozer. In short, probably wasting my time unless I was doing a big 5acre pond.
I don't know how overloaded I can get a dump truck, but I am sort of banking on that. I would guess it will come down to what the soil will allow but hoping at least 20% over.
