Track pops on on a guy off T590 out on rental.
Steps I took, that led me to a stripped tension zerk/female (...err where you screw zerk in).
Removed tension zerk fitting (setting it to the side wrapped in a clean rag), allowed grease to flow out.
Jack unit up in the rear end, used bucket to lift front end.
Removed the rest of track, and set aside.
Dug out some more space for clearance of track...
Popped track back on.
Replaced tension zerk that I had stored in clean rag.
Filled with grease to necessary tension(while seeing a bit of grease come out side of zerk...thinking oops not screwed in all the way because I could see that side hole in the zerk). I then tightened that zerk up.
After adding remaining grease, I removed my grease gun and basically all of the grease flowed right out of the zerk fitting (all looking like a freaking coiled turd). Tried to clean up zerk, tension it up....zerk continues to excrete grease...
Called bobcat got a new zerk.
Installed new zerk, same problem.
I'm thinking...well it must not be getting the right seal, and needs to be tightened up.
Upon tightening, it never really became difficult to ratchet that zerk in place, but then I noticed...oh it spinning very nice!

Tried working zerk from the opposite side track...same result.

Am I correct in assuming that you can't just re-tap and move on? Of course it's probably have to be a size up based on the stripping.
Can you even get a size up one way tension zerk?

Or do I have to replace that cylinder where the zerk should fit?
*(Note, this t590 has the zerk on the side of that cylinder, not the end)

You could go one size up. Zerks are available in different thread sizes. NPT, metric, BSPP, whatever.

Drill and tap the hole for a bigger zerk as mentioned or pull the cylinder out. Weld out the original hole, re drill and tap for original zerk or replace cylinder. About the 3 options you got.

Txhayseed pretty much summed it up. We can close this one down.
