Hello all, brand new to the site and I was looking for some thoughts and opinions on this dozer. I am doing some fencerow clearing and pushing over some trees on my farm near Marshall, AR and have found one of these dozers in my price range. It is a 74' model and looks good in pics. Just wanted to get some thoughts from the experienced here before I took time to go look. Thanks

They were good dozers for those years. Biggest thing as with all dozers is condition of the undercarriage. Another thing is the engine condition and the blade and all pins and bushings,

I have Dresser TD7G. Pretty near the same, TD7E used a naturally aspirated 3.9 liter IH engine. TD7G was mostly built in Korea but all SAE fasteners & Cummins B4 3.9 liter. My service manual & parts manual cover both E & G.

If all angle blade, inspect the blade angle hydraulic cylinders.

My friend has two TD7E dozers. Several years ago he was up to 27000 hours on the meter on one, of course most of that was idling. He did put new undercarriage in it last year. His brother had its twin, he died, younger brother 81 years old bought the other dozer.

Absolute fact: Good opportunities are grabbed up by others first. Be warry of month old listings. They waited for a sucker.
