I have been watching this thread and wondering if I should jump in. Here goes . Anyways I have staightened a few myself and had repair shops straighten larger ones that I couldn't. Have been successful with Case and JCB. The ones that I straightened myself I did right on the machine without...

    Plow lines eaten in half

I don't know what did that damage, but around these parts racoons have been chewing on composite decking because it's plant based material. As well as mice and squirrels eating the insulation on vehicle wiring harnesses.

    Stuck brake drums

Been there, Done that, Don't wanna sound like a smart azz but the brake shoes are delaminating and swelling up with rust. Had to remove the axle nut, pry on the drum against the backing plate while pounding the crap out of the drum . Likely will crack a drum or two but thats good as it will...

    Worn main pin

If I am wrong don't hesitate to shoot me down, BUT I always understood that it was called ALIGN boring not LINE boring because the boring process aligned everthing back in place. Just saying that's all. I will wait to see how long I survive without a beating. lol

    Case 521D randomly shifting transmission

We normally run in the auto mode. But it doesn't matter what mode you run it in. It will not switch gears until it decides to on its own. We have tried all combinations and it is still the same. The dealer spoke to the factory and they had never heard of this and had no suggestions. I am...

    Case 521D randomly shifting transmission

    Case 521D randomly shifting transmission

I am closely watching this post. I have a similar but slightly different problem with a 521e. It sometimes starts in a different gear than selected. The dealer basically gave up after changing one of the four speed sensors on the trans. I don't remember which one was changed but after 2 service...

starter motor still runs when key released

Thanks for your replies. The starter was rebuilt by a local shop. I don't know the model number of that starter. I know that we have other trucks with a MT 39 though. Are you saying that a MT 39 will fit if it has the correct number of teeth on the starter drive?
