Thanks again. I have another question for you all. What colleges would you recommend I check out, or what type of college would offer a Construction Management Degree, or something similar. Thanks!!

    College Degrees???

Thanks guys. I'm still undecided as to what I want to do. For me, it's not all about the engineering aspect of it, but also the business, architecture, etc. I hope to one day start and own my own small construction business, so my goal is to learn at least general knowledge in all general areas...

    College Degrees???

Thanks CM1995. That sounds like the degree I would be after. Right now, I want to earn a degree in Arboriculture, because this is what I've grown up around and I like it (not all the time though) but with the economy and just peoples views, it's not a big business right now. Right now, we're...

    College Degrees???

Hey guys, I had few questions for those of you who went to school. My parents what me to have a few options when it comes to choosing a career and a college, so I was wondering, what's a popular degree to earn in this industry, civil engineer?? I don't want to get extremely complicated hi tech...

How does one become an operator???

Just as the title says, how do you advance to becoming an operator??? I know it's extremely basic, but I'm curious. I've been around machines (mostly skid steers and backhoes) off and on most of my life, and, and have been operating on my own since I was 14. Would that be something that would...

Need help with buying a CTL in the future

Thanks. It will probably be the SR70. We have a 10,000lb trailer, and Dad likes to have a smaller machine, so the SR70 will probably fit the bill the best. If not, any ideas on an ASV below the SR70 that is still rated for at least 2,000lbs. Thanks

Need help with buying a CTL in the future

Well, this is something Dad and I have been wanting forever. It looks like this year or next, we may finally get the cash (and the ok from Mom) to buy a CTL. It will be used mostly for tree work, like picking up logs, dragging brush (with an aftermarket grapple), lifting and moving trees...

    Question on ASV

So really, just a name and pain change for the SR80. Nothing else. One more thing, is the CAT Suspension an ASV suspension??? I know most of the B-Series had ASV suspension. What about the new C. Thanks

    Question on ASV

This is just quick question. I was looking at the ASV website and noticed the two lines, SR and OT. My question is, what is the difference in these two machines. From what I can tell, they have almost the same exact specs with each other, i.e. SR80/PT80. Thanks for the help

    Awesome day at work today!!!!

Nope. We only rented the 236 for two days. I would love to have ran the Case. I got up into the cab for a few while the guys was on lunch break and the cab was way too crambed for me. Hardly any leg room at all in those minis!!

    Awesome day at work today!!!!

Well, today and yesterday, I was able to run a CAT 236B Series 2 skid steer with a hyd. quick coupler, enclosed cab, and a brand new machine, with only 192 hours on it!!! I was basically the sole operator for the machine yesterday and today, and let me say, the joysticks and foot throttle...

    Pond Building Tips

I'm pretty sure its going to be a natural. There's some nearby streams and we've had over 16" above normal rain so far this year. It's not going to be huge, like I said. We don't have any rough dimensions yet (Landscape architeuct is coming out next week) but all I know is that she mentioned a...

    Pond Building Tips

Well, in about two to three week I may be on a pond building project. We have a new client that has a good sze house and plenty of land and she's looking to maybe digging a pond in her backyard. Nothing large, but we would still need a mini-ex and skid steer for the job. Now, I was wondering if...

    Tree Huggers The Worst

I agree with you totally humboldt deere. My Dad and I aren't by any means a major tree hugger. We love trees and all of that. (One part is because that's how we make our money, installing and pruning them!!) But we also like to see our trees and other tree live. Often too many times we see toped...

    Cat 330 & 7 foot bucket

Nice. I've always been a big Cat fan. I have really liked the CL and DL series (I prefer CL) I just ordered a 300D L model, since I can't get into the real machine at the moment.
