Old Yale Forklift - 10 000lbs capcity help with ID

Hi, I hope this is old/interesting enough to qualify for this forum, http://imgur.com/98gMgjJ Can anyone help me figure out what year/model this machine might be? The tag is missing and I still haven't found any sign of a stamped serial number on the frame. It has a gas V8 which...

    JCB Wiring

Thanks I did find one. I had written off that site as a scam but it came though when I waited. I'm not sure how the serial numbers work. This manual states it is good for machines from M/C No. 337 001 My machine has the following numbers on the right side of the frame: 4719071 and...

    Help with JCB Shuttle Drive

thanks for the replies. I've got too rubber lines coming from the oil cooler (~ 3/4") that are connected to steel lines going into two port on the shuttle drive. There is no sign of where this other port should go. Maybe it was a test port for a mechanical gauge?

    Yale

Nothing too special here, but for all the abuse this machine has been though it still comes in handy. In fact, it has finally been given some long overdue attention, a new fuel tank (to replace the temp. outboard tank) rebuilt dist, starter, alternator and pump u-joints and lots of grease and...

    Help with JCB Shuttle Drive

Hi, Just put a basket case of a backhoe back together, a JCB 1400B (1985ish). As I was not the person who disassembled the shuttle drive and gearbox, I'm have trouble finding out what was attached to the top of the shuttle drive. I've blocked off the port as it was squirting out fluid, so...

    Backhoe weight

I think I'll leave moving them to someone set up for it. At least for now, it doesn't seem worth the trouble. My mind still can't grasp towing something as heavy as a backhoe behind a pickup, goose neck or not. I sure everything would be fine, until that one idiot forcing you to brake...

    Backhoe weight

How scary/legal is it to pull a backhoe behind a F350 with a fifth wheel trailer setup for the weight? Pulling it behind a dump truck just seems to make more sense.

    Pictures of your Backhoe!!!!!

Work in progress, JCB 1400B circa 1986 ~3800hrs. Someone had previously pulled shuttle drive apart, and after throwing random parts over their shoulder and leaving the remaining, less interesting (or simply parts too heavy to through over their shoulder) in the bucket to rust...
