    1/16th radio-controlled scale model of Komatsu D575A-2

The content creator (We) deleted the links on HEF and the 16 vids on YouTube of all the field tests intentionally. Bots (or humans) in Kazakhstan had scraped this site and reset links from those video links to links at their end leading to their own websites and to places other than the YouTube...

We've put the last field test video of the D455A-1 up on the Global channel. Here's the master link to all the field test videos of the five different tractors. It's just simply a place where all the field tests can be found in the one location...

    1/16th scale radio-controlled Komatsu D455A-1

We took the D455A-1 and the D575A-2 down to the closed coal mine for some field testing. The D455A performed well ripping as the video shows. We also have a walk-around of the two tractors. A rare sight both these tractors at the one location. We'll add some more videos of the D455A-1 pushing...

    1/16th scale radio-controlled Komatsu D455A-1

The Komatsu D455A-1 is finished. Everything works nicely, blade tilts, ripper pitch works. We will be running it down at the closed coal mine soon. We'll put some vids up on the Gloal General Robotics channel when they are done and leave a note here. Here are some finsihed pics.

Correction: I wrote in my post #5 that the D455A-1 and the HD-41/41B use the same engine, a Cummins V1710-C-700. The D455A-1 uses the Cummins V1710-C-800 engine rated at 650hp in the D455A-1. Thanks for the info bigiron.

The electrics were installed including the H-bridge motor controllers and the wiring looms made up and installed along with the radio control gear. We field tested the bare tractor rolling frame for the first time under...

    1/16th scale radio-controlled Komatsu D455A-1

We got the track frames and front idler recoil all fitted up and the track frame covers made and bolted up. The recoil is functioning nicely with enough sag in the chains like the 1:1 but not taut - enough to roll freely and not throw a track.

The grouser plates are cast zinc, then the four holes for the grouser bolts are drilled in a jig and bolted to the track chains. It just looks used at this point since the paint is currently only to prevent flash rust to worked steel surfaces as mentioned earlier. There would be about 1000 hrs...
