    lift pump on 540B skidder

    is there a good way to test if your fuel lift pump is working? I have the glass filter off, and I'm pumping away on the hand lever- I can hear it trying to pump- air pushing through, but no fuel...since it just got cold here, it may be I have something frozen in the lines toward the fuel...

    workers comp for logging- for hand felling in NH its closer to $80-100 per $100 of payroll...hence most of us work on our own as owner/operators. Go mechanized (shear/feller-buncher) and the rate drops in half...course you need to get the machine to do it...

    it still puzzles me why they go to all the trouble of guarding, beefing up, etc. but they still wont pressurize the cabs!!! way too much dust in mulching to not have a pressurized cab...

    Just curious about Timber Ax/Carbide Cutters, ect..

    From gyrotrac to Fecon I started mulching with a ASV 4810 and gyrotrac toma-ax 500F (earlier design with swing teeth) in 2003. Was very happy with the customer service at Gyro-trac and also ASV (bought the ASV through local CAT dealer who could have cared less about me after I wrote the check)...
