    Operating PTO in auto tranny

Just bought our first dump truck that is not a manual. All of our grain trucks are manuals and you can operate the PTO dump hoist with the transmission gear engaged. As in you can spread the rock without having to stop to engage PTO. This new truck which has an Allison automatic transmission...

    Dump bed liners

Putting a new to me dump bed on my truck. Has some washboarding going on but still seems solid. No rusted through holes. Will be hauling 2” and some 5” rip rap mostly. Considering options to protect the floor from further damage. All cross members seems to be in decent shape and not bent...

    Wisconsin VG4D engine help

I’m not going to stick that kind of work into it. I’m doing simple stuff to see if she will fire and run a few times for me to blow straw then will be sold or scrapped. I just need about an hour or so of run time on her. If she won’t run then it’s to the junk yard with the blower

    Wisconsin VG4D engine help

It’s electric start so no worries about hand crank. How would I check to see if there’s water in a cylinder? Turn it over without spark plugs in it a few times ? Also what would be a good compression number on these engines ?

    Wisconsin VG4D engine help

Asking here because I know these engines were used on skidsteers back in the day. Out on a wimb I decided to purchase a straw blower for a few hundred bucks. Motor hasn’t run in many years obviously but I figured it would be a “fun” project. Engine is a Wisconsin VG4D. He guaranteed it...

JD 310G Quits Running after 45min to 1 Hr

Yup I just had this. One of the electric connections was slightly loose on the solenoid on the injector pump and mine had same issues. Ran great for an hour or two and then sputtered out and died. Would restart after cooled down for a while. I tried about everything and that’s what it ended up...

    JCB proximity steering switches

Sorry for the delay. I finally got time to crawl back under the machine. They are 3 wire systems. Hard to get to the wires to test but can you tell me what color wire does what? Does anyone know the testing procedure to determine if front is bad or rear is bad? As in in 4ws steer mode...

JCB 217 SIII, can't develop power

If you take shims out, can you try to take some pictures of where they are and what they look like? I’m still lost on that one. I’d be curious to see how much added power you get.

JCB 217 SIII, can't develop power

7135-277G there’s also some different ones on eBay. My local guy had a generic rebuild kit that I broke the plastic center piece out and just used diaphragm with all old parts.

    2001 JCB 214S 4x4x4 Stalling Issues

You got that right. It’s always good knowing more about the machine for future reference ;)

    2001 JCB 214S 4x4x4 Stalling Issues

Just had similar issue and mine was a clogged in line fuel filter before the electric fuel pump. Maybe see if you have a hidden in line fuel filter

    Jcb charging problem

How much voltage are you getting at the battery when charging ? I assume that’s how you know if you’re charging or not or does yours have a bolt gauge. Mine does not

JCB 217 SIII, can't develop power

My turbo boost cover bolts weren’t that tight really. Maybe a 10mm if I remember. I actually replaced them with black oxide Allen socket head screws that are easier to get ahold of

    jcb strikes again

My current jcb would work my old ford backhoe into the ground. They all have their issues but your issue was obviously a crap dealer who doesn’t take care of their stuff.
