    Crawlers I photo'd recently.

These threads always remind me of sitting on a Vermeer T600 trencher with the detroit screaming away all day . even with hearing protection it was loud might have something to do with the tinnitus. Or maybe it was the water truck pump with the detroit and on and on....

    1947 TD14 Intermittent Spark

The starter turns over pretty slow on those, they were designed to be hand cranked the mag works pretty good they will usually fire after a revolution or 2 if all is in good shape.

    International TD 14 Parts/Advice

Probably find one in a junkyard or have a machine shop fix it they aren't to complicated. Check over on the redpower site some one there will know where one is. Steve

    1947 TD14 Intermittent Spark

Take the mag apart and clean everything good corrosion etc. clean or replace the cap , sounds like you're on the right track they usually start pretty easy once all of the things on the gas side are in order. Once it warms up on gas it should bang right off in diesel mode. Steve

Unfortunately he and his partner have died and all of the iron disappeared this year and the site cleaned out of any sign of it...

    1952 International TD9 Decompression Issue

sounds like there are linkage problems, when you move the lever there is a lot going on, trace it out and make sure everything is moving and operating , there is a cutout switch that cuts the mag out when you throw the lever to diesel and I would check that it is working . If you have the books...
