    Hanson shovel

The last pic I've seen of a Hanson (in working order) was in an issue of HCEA's Equipment Echoes about 10-15 years ago. The pic I posted above is from a spec sheet I got off ebay years ago. The 654-H was a 1 yard shovel/15 ton crane.

    Hanson shovel

Here's an image of a Hanson 654-H convertible excavator/crane. I've read Hanson was quite popular with the military. And I have seen pics of their later hydraulic rough terrain cranes and truck cranes. Don't know much about their clutch/brake machines. Any of you remember these?

    want info on UNIT crane/excavator

No....have not had any responses to my query on the UNIT 271-C (1 cubic yard/25 ton) machine. It seem's that info on that particular model is non-existent. The machines in the pics from your link look like smaller 1/2 or 3/4 yard types. Info on those may be easier to find. Thank's for asking.

    various scans of neat machinery

more....early '50's Insley L, late '60's Lorain 36, and a dimensional side view of the '70 Komatsu D355A. Note the small gen-set on the Insley L dragline, and magnet crane.:)

    various scans of neat machinery

Testing my new scanner with bits from my collection. The TEREX 82-80 image is from a 1972 brochure (note lack of a ROPS). The Komatsu image is from a 1970 vintage sheet (this also lacks a ROPS). I believe the Sargent DD410 (1960 brochure) was a 1/2 yd. machine. ENJOY!:)

    1 yd dragline

Pic of a UNIT 271-C from a 1961 magazine ad. Got this ad from one Mr. Algood from Kentucky.

    remember these?

the latest addition to my paper collection, circa 1946. These 1.5 cubic yard machines were also later license-built and sold in the UK, aka NCK 605; also license-built and sold in Spain, aka Kynos Koehring 605. The Koehring 805 was a heavier version of the same machine, with 2 yd. capacity...
