Sealing up the belly of a D series Cat

Also has anyone ever come up with an engine oil filter relocation kit? I’m also on the fence as to whether or not to add ride control to it. Has anyone ever added it to a skid before? Just curious what all is involved. I have it on all of my Cat wheel loaders and it’s awesome.

Sealing up the belly of a D series Cat

Thanks for the reply hey McCall. I’m always trying to build a better mousetrap. I’m also majorly anal about my stuff. I hate how the paint gets scuffed on the boom from debris and boots getting drug on the painted surface getting into the cab so installed 3m gator grip on the areas that always...

    Cat 277c undercarriage

Rebuilding the undercarriage on my 277c. I am replacing the front and rear large bogie wheels with steel ones. My question for you is do any of you have experience with the steel bogies doing snow removal? My concern is snow and ice build up on the steel? Thanks!

    Asv rc30 need some pointers

Hey guys, I found what looks to be a decent 2001 asv rc30 locally that seems priced right. I currently own a cat 277c so I a, familiar with the asv undercarriage on a MTL. My question for you guys is what do I need to look for on a 2000 hour machine? What are their strong points and weak...

    Snow Plowing help....

MTL's have a series of rubber bogie wheels and the drive wheel for the track has what's called a squirrel cage to rotate the assembly, it has metal rollers that drive the cogs on the track. A CTL has steel rollers at the bottom of the track and has openings in the center of the track where the...

    Snow Plowing help....

MTL= multi terrain loader.....bogie wheel suspension/undercarriage, better on dirt, snow and turf. Can be expensive to operate if not used properly in these conditions and these conditions only. CTL =compact track loader......baby bulldozer...sprocket driven tracks, better on aggregate or dry...

    Snow Plowing help....

I have moved snow with every piece of equipment on the planet including the kitchen sink. I currently use 3 CAT 928g wheel loaders with just the buckets. I also have a 10' pusher for my CAT 277c. The tracked MTL's with a pusher will run circles around any truck, tractor or wheeled loader compact...

    Cat 277c a/c blower fan

Thanks for the tip durallymax so you are saying block off the fresh air entirely? Just work off of the recirculatory inner filter? Makes sense!

    Cat 277c a/c blower fan

Nige......thought about your solution.......naaaaaaa! Tore into it today, as suspected there was enough dirt packed into the evaporator to farm 40 acres. Completely removed the blower fan and plenum, washed and replaced it! Cold as a meat locker now. When we put it back together we packed the...

    Cat 277c a/c blower fan

Thanks guys, I will give it a look tomorrow. It has been unseasonably cool here lately but it looks like that is about to change. I had the can up today replacing a chaffed hose and I remember seeing the torques head screws to remove the plastic cover from the top of the plenum/evaporator. I...

    Cat 277c a/c blower fan

Hey gang, it hasn't rained here for over a month and I have been doing a lot of grading in real fine dirt/dust. I am almost daily having to blow out all of my cab and engine air filters on my 277c. I am actually just keeping a spare set that have been blown out to change at the beginning of each...
